Hi there! We are Allissa and Dave, the owners, makers, and curators of Monarch Goods Co. and we are so glad you stopped by our little part of the world! The metamorphosis to becoming Monarch started well before any paperwork was filed or social media account was created. What began as a simple holiday craft idea eventually became a long term passion project….expertly crafted, California inspired, hand poured candles! We mixed a love for adventure, a desire to create, and a passion to connect with community in order to launch the husband and wife powered Monarch brand in 2023. As we continue to build, we will always stay committed to delivering clean, quality, California inspired products. We can’t wait for you to start your journey with Monarch!

What’s in a name?

The Monarch name is so important to our identity and draws on many inspirational elements. First and foremost is the migration of the Monarch butterfly. Just like its journey along the coast of California, our candles are inspired by various landscapes throughout the Golden State. The Monarch also represents one of Allissa and Dave’s favorite places, Pacific Grove, home to the Monarch Sanctuary, the inspiration for Seaside Sanctuary. Lastly, butterflies are known to represent transformation, new beginnings, rebirth, and freedom. We hope our candles represent the same, inspiring you to let go of your burdens and brighten your everyday.
